Be-Ge are proud to announce the latest vehicle successfully tested with our Jany range of M1 and N1 passenger seats fully witnessed and approved by TÜV Rheinland. The new Mercedes Vito due to be launched in the UK in Spring is a bold striking replacement for outgoing successful Vito Models.
This latest edition to the Mercedes Range brings its commercial vehicles in line with the styling of their current luxury car range.
Get one of these new Vito’s behind you on the motorway and you could easily be mistaken thinking its a Mercedes GL class on your tail. One of the biggest changes is the addition of a 1.6-litre diesel engine, shared with the Renault Trafic. The new engine is offered with front-wheel drive only and comes in two versions – 88PS and 114PS. It means a lower price for the Vito.
The other engine is the 2.1-litre diesel, available with between 136PS and 190PS, in rear-wheel drive only.
The Vito is offered in three lengths, all of which are 140mm longer than the equivalent variant of the old Vito.
The maximum gross vehicle weight ranges from 2500kg to 3200kg depending on configuration, with the most capable model rated to carry a payload of up to 1369kg.
Maximum cargo volumes range from 5.5m3 to 6.6m3.
Gary Shaw from Be-Ge explains , “I drive the current Mercedes Vito and its given me over 100,000 miles of trouble free motoring and is well screwed together” with an auto box borrowed from the E Class and dash layout from the C class all in all its a clever piece of kit, the Mercedes designers certainly want to take commercial drivers to the next level giving them a commercial vehicle with a car derived driving style and feel”.
We have full approval on our entire seating range for the new Vito, our comprehensive testing documentation using 100% Be-Ge products means that no further testing by the customer is required.
In terms of Type Approval we have done all the testing for you, so your seating becomes a paperwork exercise with no testing whatsoever required by the customer.
Be-Ge Solutions are extremley cost effective, not only are they extremley easy to fit and keep labour to a minimum, our unique bonded twin plate is designed to be “seat specific” saving costs and weight in comparison with fitting a full aluminimum floor.
The new Vito has been fully approved to fit the entire 800 series range of Jany M1 and N1 seats and accompanies the testing we have already done on the existing Mercedes Sprinter, so no matter what the requirement, we are sure we can come up with a Jany solution for you.
